Thanks everyone for the replies. I am anxiously awaiting the results of this years achievement test...I believe they did the WAIT-II again. We meet for the results Tuesday morning. As long as all goes well...which just based on what she saw last year she didn't think would be an issue, he will be doing a full grade acceleration to 5th. Although I KNOW he can handle the Pre-Algebra and hope that we can get high enough results on an algebra readiness test to convince the school to let him do 2 grade level skip in Math. i think this might be where things get a little more sticky.
Oh yeah I forgot to say that this district does not have a history of grade acceleration. They have a TAG program but I feel like it is not worthwile for DS to do so we have decided not to join that but other than that the district doesn't really do grade or subject accelerations. Hopefully we won't run into too many issues with it.
