Thank-you for your story.... It brought tears to my eyes!I can see how scoliosis could be connected. My little one does not sit up as straight as her peers. We have done some pt, but the problem for me at the time was there was an underlying assumption that she was cognitively affected also. Which meant they often "pushed" her in uncomfortable ways and sometimes undermined any work that I had done. We are returning to her pt next week as she is the best around and has worked with the most amount of kids so I will just be a better advocate and speak about the way she pushes and see where we go from there. It is difficult to find good, competent, compassionate, intervention. I would like to have some tests done but am very reluctant to do tests that require sedation or anesthesia. I heard a report on NPR about a connection with anesthesia and learning disabilities. Thanks again for your support. How did writing go?
