Getting closer and closer to the NYC G&T debacle. My boy is 3 years and 4 months old and I'm nervous he will fall through the cracks.

They gave him a basic intelligence test last year and he failed it badly due to non-cooperation with the teacher. I told the teacher that I wasn't worried too much because he has known his phonics since 16 months old and is reading books now at about 2.5 years old. etc. "Sight read" she said "I did notice he does sight read stuff." I started to explain that he does read phonically in combination with sight reads hundreds of words but quickly cut myself off thinking I'm tired of the doubtful looks and I'm not going to put on a pony show with my kid to prove it just to save face.

Looking back now though I'm worried it might happen again on these tests. From what I've seen the questions. He could read the questions and at the same time I could see him just not wanting to participate.
