Congratulations! I personally would consider telling him he did well. I'm speaking from experience with a kid who has performance anxiety, so it can be important to give him positive reinforcement. Here's hoping for a stellar placement for your son.
he's taken the WPPSI, SB5 and OSLAT. He actually enjoys them because of the interaction with the adult - not sure how he will feel once the tests are himself and a pencil! We told him WPPSI was to see how his brain worked, then we told him his brain works so nicely he got to take the SB5! I thought that was hysterical, DH not so much! With the OLSAT, he actually figured out it was about school, because of course he could read the practice test! So we told him it was to find the right K for him with people interest in the things he was interested in. So telling him the score doesn't do anything because of the range of schools he could end up in. So I wanted to hold off connecting the test to anything, till I had something more concrete than you did well on it. I still can't believe we have to go through all this, but I guess that's everyone's story here.
Thanks for the support!
