From what I remember of the IAS, it should be fine.
If anything, skipping across grades and buildings, e.g. Primary school -> Junior school is considered risky. This is because the child would have to adjust to new teachers, new peers and a new environment as opposed to just new peers which the same staff essentially and the same environment.
Were I in your shoes I would be pushing hard for this given that the next possible skip would be across schools.
