I'm not in the US, so hopefully elementary (grade school?) is the right term smile Would you skip your child a year into the last year of primary school? I asked for a skip last year which would have been perfect but the school is very anti skipping. I let it go as a lost cause, but am fired up again for next year (school year ends in December and starts in February).
But I have reservations about skipping DD into that final year, that all the students have been working towards all this year, where they finally get to be house leaders, crossing guards etc. Where they've all known each other for 6 years … Does it being the highest year in the school affect the IAS points? Is there some conventional wisdom on this?
This may be all hypothetical as the school won't like it, but we're nearly at the point where something has to be done …
Thanks smile
