Thanks to everyone who responded. I just got back for the dreaded meeting and was surprised that it only took 30 minutes. The principal still didn't understand why or what I wanted but she gave me almost all the information I wanted without knowing it. I explained to the teacher again why I decided to homeschool and that I didn't really care what grade level my son was doing as long as he was being challenged. I'm completely drained. I think that they are just happy to get rid of me. I'm happy to have finally made the decision I should have followed through on when my son was 3 - that's when we first started to think that homeschooling might be best. Hopefully I'll finally get some sleep now.
