He's a complicated little beastie.

Of course there are many other likely explanations. But I know of kids with good appetites, no distended belly, and staining, who turned out to have Hirschprung's. Read the last paragraph in the second link. I know it is old, but from what I have seen, it is still accurate. Hirschprung's is rare and many GIs don't have much experience with it. Regardless--it might be worth taking him somewhere with expertise to get this sorted out--i.e. CHOP or Cinncinatti Children's GI dept. Good luck.
