Hi, readers. MAP percentile scores are based on the subject's grade and time of year that the test is given. That is, there is a raw score (the 265, 235, 240 etc., called a "RIT score"), which is turned into a percentile score based on grade level/time of test. This makes sense, because reading at a top 2nd grade level doesn't say much for a 5th grader.
