ColinsMum Member C Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 1,898 Scotland	I think it was this series that school gave my DS last year - he didn't encounter them till 6 but it was quite a high numbered book in the series that he had then (number 5 or 6 I think) and even so they were pretty easy, so I bet if you looked at the early books in the series they'd be useful for a 4yo.
