    any suggestions for math word problems , like the penrose series for 4 yr old that may be interesting to them

    I think it was this series that school gave my DS last year - he didn't encounter them till 6 but it was quite a high numbered book in the series that he had then (number 5 or 6 I think) and even so they were pretty easy, so I bet if you looked at the early books in the series they'd be useful for a 4yo. Whether you can get them there, I don't know...
