Hi, we're getting together our DYS application and plan to send it in December. Did anyone figure out how to type into the form? Anyone else getting ready?

I just printed it out, copied the long questions into a Word document and typed in there.

    Good luck!

Ditto. We wrote in on the first few and last few pages and just included a typed response for the questions (labeled).

Hi, we submitted our DYS application for Dec review. Anyone else in the same boat? Are any December decisions out yet?

I don't think you'll hear until after Christmas. Last month the decisions went out very near the end of the month. I think that's typical for them.

For all those waiting this month's DYS decisions--they are starting to come. We got ours by email today and so did a friend in our local gifted homeschool group.

We just found out that the office is closed all of next week so that makes sense.

We FINALLY got our application in...so we will be in the January bunch. I started the application in August...it took me that long because I couldn't seen to get portfolio items together. We decided to cough up the money for an achievement test, and those results are being submitted as the last part of the app. So now I am not going to fret about a portfolio. Scores, recommendation, questions answered...I'm done!
