Is it the same as CTY? I wanted to have my DS redo 3rd grade, is it the same?

Yes, at the 3rd grade level, CTY is the same as EPGY. With the open enrollment (group or otherwise), you don't get the one-on-one support, but the online exercises are the same. (There are some options that require significant fiddling if you're in open enrollment, too - it's possible to automatically skip the math races, or to manually adjust the level / number of them, but it's not as easy as just asking someone to do it for you.)

DD6 loves the math races when she starts up. And we found that with CTY and the placement test, we knew what she knew and could skip grade 1 and part of 2.

We would also be interested in trying out EPGY as part of an open enrollment group. Is there anyone still taking kids into the group?
