Is it an online charter? What state?

We have one by that name but not sure it's the same one.

They are an online charter that just came available in Michigan. They say they have a Gifted and Talented Program and would allow the student to be placed by ability not by age, they request copies of testing and placement tests of the student.

I will try to make this short. My non gifted relative works from my home and uses it for online public school.

In my opinion the program is shallow. There are no books involved; it is entirely computer based.

Based on the child's use of the forums, it seems that many of the children in the high school program look like remedial students. Some of her classmates have babies at home and some had alcohol or drug problems. My relative does not have these issues, but she is also old enough to be exposed to them.

The science seemed okay, but I did not care for the online lab program they used. The program was not that user friendly.

I will be blunt. I will not consider it for my PG 9 year-old. It is empty and shallow, though it meets our state standards (not MI).
