My DS 8 loves geometry right now and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on beginning geometry workbooks - would need to start pretty basic, but he def. has a sense (albeit quite informal at this point) of things like side, angle, side; A,S,A, and S,S,S, vs. A,A,A; number of degrees in a circle, in a triangle, in a parallelogram; how parallel sides work for solving angles, etc. My DH and I make up some questions where he has to figure out angles, lengths, etc. but I was wondering if anyone knows of any workbook that might have beginning geometry problems that might be appropriate for him - these are just for fun - wouldn't be used as curriculum or anything.

    Thanks, Cat

I'd take a look at Geometry to Go. I love the other books in this series, so I'd expect that it also would be good & it has good reviews on Amazon. We have Math on Call, another book from the same series, and it is a very good reference book.

    Dear Catalana,

There are some interesting things (both books and puzzles/toys/etc.) at www.mathartfun.com. Not quite what you're after, perhaps, but maybe worth a look?
