For those with experience what level of algebra does this go through? I went ahead and ordered it with tax money, but am wondering if it could still benefit my oldest DD10, who is doing prealgebra right now? I understand it is supplemental and the representative said it typically goes through 8th grade but I'm unsure what that means to me. I have four others to get through so it shouldn't be a waste either way.

Example from level III 2(-x + 3x)+3(-x)+7=(-x)+(-3)

Not sure what grade/level this translates into but this is the most difficult type of problem that comes with the set.
It also comes with some sample word problems.

I don't know the level to equate it to but I think the set has great illustrative/manipulative value for algebra at any level. Once you work with it enough, you can visualize the pieces instead of needing to actually manipulate them. The set will compliment the workbooks they include or can be used with a standard textbook (with a little preparation).

My guess is that DD10 will enjoy it as will your others.
