    Thanks for all the replies! Right now, I'm leaning towards testing but waiting until DS is 6.

    I didn't tell my yo anything about DYS until she was accepted at 7yo. She cried with relief when I told her about DYS and she realized there really were kids like her out there. For us, it was worh it just for that.
