Just wanted to update...ds is making all the familiar complaints about school. The novelty has worn off very quickly, but I sure didn't think we'd be hearing all this already. He's saying the day takes too long, he's bored, he's learning things he already knows, he has to write too much, he doesn't like school, blah blah blah. I hope it's just a bad week, but we've seen this so many times before.

Found out today that there are 7 families interested in the private school class, our other option for next year. That is sounding more and more like a great possibility. At least we'll have more flexibility and input in the type of instruction, projects, etc. Plus, the hours are 9-2. Ds will LOVE that. With such a small group, I think they'll be able to accomplish a lot more in less time. And, the tuition is a little less, so that's good news. If I don't see a big turn around in the next few months at the Montessori school, I guess we'll be taking this option instead.

I still feel much more comfortable at the Montessori school than I did at the Catholic school. At least here, they are very compassionate and do not harp on him to be quiet and sit still all day. He likes the bit of freedom that he has, although he thinks they don't get enough free time to play. ; )
