thanks for sharing your story. I am glad you have found something that is working. I think my daughter is "happyish" there, but she went from drawing complex pictures to scribbling like she sees other children doing. She also spends her time at home with her 21 month old sister so she has little influence of children who can talk to her at her level. I am going to keep her in this school through the year, but don't know what the future holds. I wish she had one friend who was like her if nothing else.

Do you find that she likes older kids? You might find some play dates for her with older kids. My DD is drawn to the older kids and if she has a choice she always picks them. The older the better. She has had me laughing numerous times when she spots some girls that are around 12 and makes a bee line for them. They find her so adorable at first and then they are shocked when she can carry on a conversation with them. It's the cutest thing to see then 2 yr old DD sitting on a bench talking in her normal verbal ability with a 12 year old.

What sort of things do you do with her on a typical basis? We do read tons of books and I do talk to her a lot, but that's about it. What does your daughter find to be the most fun right now?

I'm going to PM you hopefully sooooooooooooooon!!!!!
