What makes you think it may be a bad idea? The worst that can happen is they tell you no. I think you can even apply again another year.

I was under the impression that we had one chance to submit and if declined, we would not be able to reapply. I had read of kids being declined with the portfolio and assumed they weren't able to resubmit or send in further information. Really glad to hear that is not the case.

    Thanks! smile

Why don't you give them a call or email and just ask about reapplying options. If it's important to you find out for sure.

Tofu- We were right on the border with IQ and submitted portfolio. DS was denied but they said we could reapply or submit additional information in 6 months. We did so we'll see what they say soon.

I know of a couple of kids who were initially denied to the program but who were later admitted. The bad news for you is that it was usually because they later submitted qualifying test scores, and if testing is a problem, then that won't be of great help to you. But certainly one may apply and then send more info later.
