I just checked online and my son's scores are already there...considering he only took it yesterday that was quick!

Overall I think he did well considering he was just getting over the flu for the previous 3 days prior to his test and this was his first computerized timed test. He is also not a big reader at all and told me that he found a lot of the verbal questions to be hard. Analogies were also a brand new concept to DS6 that I introduced to him the day before the test.

DS6.5 technically would be in 1st grade without 1 year skip
    Form eY2 Norms 4S
    Verbal 29/50 = 429 = 64% compared to 4th grade
    Math 33/50 = 436 = 69% compared to 4th grade

Barely missed qualifying for verbal courses but did qualify for math. We are already doing the homeschool EPGY courses with him this year.

Thanks again for all the well wishes regarding his illness. Poor DS6 has had a pretty rough week. Last Friday he returned to public school and today was only his second day due to missing the earlier part of the week from being sick.

I know nothing about SCAT scores and haven't even got as far as registering DS7, but this caught my eyes

He is back in public school? What happened? You might have mentioned in a different thread. I admit that I am quite busy and don't get to spend as much time on the Internet as I would like.

    I hope all is well,

Long story but yes the private school wasn't an ideal situation for DS6. He needed a lot more structure than the school was able to provide. He was also turning into a master manipulator--all this coupled with the fact that the school lost the lease for the location made our decison quite easy.

I just talked to DH and DS6 said that school day #2 actually went ok today. I know it's still pretty early but I am optimistic that I will be able to work with his new teacher.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work out at the end. Fingers crossed he has an understanding and flexible teacher.

They put him to the 2nd grade, I hope. I remember he did a combo of K/1st last year but I am not sure what the PS plan for this year was.

Yes, he moved to 2nd grade this year. They are also talking about letting him continue the online EPGY math where he is halfway through 4th grade and doing well.

Those are excellent scores for such a little guy taking his first test! Congrats! I hope we get our scores that fast. I haven't even managed to schedule a test date yet.
