I found out about Starfall via these forums, and my 2-year-old has been loving the site for the past several months. He's getting more and more into numbers lately, so I'm wondering - are there any similar sites out there for pre-math skills?

I know my DS loved the leapfrog/leapster stuff. I don't know if they have anything interactive on their website, but there is a Math Factory movie (I think that is what it is called).

I wish I knew....I did go to here and DD 2.5 loves the PreK-K (4-5 year old) games and some of the 1st grade ones. But there just aren't that many. http://www.pbs.org/parents/earlymath/Click on age group pic and then select games on side bar. DD fav is the sandcastle one, she is also adding how many sandcastles they are as she completes them even though the games do not do this....but you can help make them more difficult by doing this. HTH.....Plus if anyone have anything else definitly let e know...DD is very into starfall and this pbs, we are still looking for others....I would even buy a computer game if someone can recommend one.

My littles use Time4Learning.com It costs 19.95 a month but it covers everything. They offer a free trial if you want to have a peek.

My son's school has links to alot of math sites - go to http://www.lowellmst.com/ - you can click on Students and then the grade, or go to resources, and there are more links there. I haven't checked them all out, though !

I found it!!! www.gamequarium.org It's pretty cool....and it has really great links to other other great math stuff. Also covers all different subjects, not just math...and has videos that remind me very much of the starfall videos, with the echoey voices included LOL.

I posted this link in another thread, but am doing it here in case anyone is still looking for math sites. Harcourt's Thinkmath! has a great variety of math games by grade levels, correlated to your state math standards, and covering all areas of elementary math through grade 5. http://www.hbschool.com/thinkmath/choose_state.html

My older kids used this site back when it was still free. They enjoyed it but looks like they charge a fee now and it's changed a bit. http://www.rainforestmaths.com/

Just in case anyone is still looking for a site like Starfall but for math, it's worth noting that the Starfall guys have now released a site specifically for learning math (called Starfall Math). I've written a summary of it here: http://www.calcatraz.com/blog/starfall-math-577
