They didn't do IQ. They didn't supple broad scores. Does that mean they didn't do enough tests? This is all new to me.

Dottie - The school psychologist did the testing. I pushed for this so the teachers would understand how bored he was in school and I was hoping this would give him opportunities to be more challenged. They will allow him to do 5th grade math in 3rd grade next year so I think the testing helped. How is the broad math calculated or tested. I don't know what broad means in testing.

when does it become inportant to have an IQ Test?

Is it a big request to ask for IQ testing? does it take very long?

I wondering about other GT Programs he might qualify for. How can I find out about these?

They do have a gifted program. They call it enrichment. They pull kids out max. twice a week a total of 40 min. They time does not increase as the kids get older.

They let him do some independent studies which he was very excited about last year.

I'm hoping he can do something more this year like learn an instrument. Last year was hard. He sharpened many pencils down to 1/2 inch trying to occupy his brain. He even failed some tests.

My DS9 did a northwestern writing online course this summer which he qualified.
