Oh yeah and by the way, no one thought my child was gifted either even though all achievement tests were 98, 99 and 99 for ISAT's, 100% on Curriculum Based Material and 100% on IRI, because he wasn't cooperative in class. He was quietly defiant due to boredom. However, he has vision problems and writing is slow, to an outsider he is 'not gifted' but he actually is. The psychologist told us he would have done a lot higher on the tests if he didn't have vision problems, and he still made VCI of 130, he reads at 10th grade level and doesn't fit the norms. He may be 2E, we don't know yet. I was also told that a high score on those tests are NOT flukes. You can't fake your way on an IQ test. The scores can be low but not overly inflated.
