OP renie1 Member R Joined: May 2009 Posts: 229	Does anyone know why the DYS cutoff is 145 for WISC but 150 for WPPSI? I thought that since they were both tests with SD of 15, then the scores should align. And does it mean that a child who scores 150 on the WPPSI will likely score 5 points lower on WISC?

Not necessarily. This is probably conjecture on my part, but I strongly suspect that the score requirements for the WPPSI are higher b/c IQ scores are considered less stable in younger children. However, I guess that doesn't explain why a child of the same age who takes the WISC can get in with a slighly lower score. Study Strategies for Accelerated Learners
