OP BWBShari Member Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 1,167 NM	I went in today just to make sure that someone hadn't mistakenly given me the scores from the same test twice. They are two separate tests. Shari Mom to DS 10, DS 11, DS 13 Ability doesn't make us, Choices do!

marieg Member Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 112	Hi My daughter dropped from fall of 3rd grade to spring of third grade. Her RIT scores were in the 230's (the drop was in language arts section). She's now back in the high 240's.

Looks like 240 may be near the test ceiling for language usage based on the reading ceiling being around the 93% of 10th graders. That would make the burble less surprising. http://www.nwea.org/support/details.aspx?content=532 Quote For example, in reading, the RIT scale measures with relative accuracy up to about 245. This represents the 93rd percentile at grade 10, and the 95th percentile at grade 8. If a student scores above we know that student performed high but may not be able to accurately assess how high they performed.
