    Hi Jby-

Now I get it! IDing 2E kids is really challenging!

Does the test you are using now give 'subscale' or 'subtest' information? If it does, I would just put together a pilot program for kids who score above x in a single subtest and have a 'highest to lowest subtest' gap over y. Play with the numbers x and y, until you get a reasonable number of kids to get to know and see what kind of help they need to get their individual educational needs met.

I can imagine a 'books on balls - a bookclub where everyone sits on those big excersize balls' or 'science experiement club' for kids with overall high scores except in the 'working memory' or 'processing speed' subtests.

Wish that I knew more about your school's particular test. LOL - what about calling up the folks who make the test and asking them what they suggest?

In general, I'm a fan of 'using what you already have' in a new way, because then you are minimizing the variables and the change. People hate change, and changing one thing at a time seems to help ease your way into things.

I think that you mentioned that you've raised 2E kids. What would have helped them?

    Love and More Love,
    Grinity
