I finally got time and the chance to ponder the scores we got for ds8 on the wisc iv a few weeks back.
Here is my question - we discussed with the psychologist that ds had a problem with timed math tests, but in the end I said, but he's actually good at arithmetic!
Even if I had realized there was a possibility of sub'ing Arithmetic for letter number sequencing, which I read on the Linda Silverman site that is common, at least at the GDC, I am not sure I would have thought it a good idea...and I guess the psysch didn't think so either.
But now I wish he had, I am wondering based on the final scores if substituting arithmetic what the fsiq would be - but I can't find a chart to figure that out - Dottie or anyone else have this info? I know it won't be a massive difference, but of course I am still curious.
Also, wondering about asking the doctor, probably not to re-score, but just to see what he thinks of the whole thing.
He did sub Info for Comprehension, since we had voiced some social issues concerns.
Here are the scores I have for ds -
Pri - 119
block design - 14
picture concepts- 11
matrix reas. - 14
(picture compl.) - 12
VCI -124
similarities - 14
vocab. - 14
info ** - 14
(comprehension) - 8
WMI - 102
Digit span- 10
letter-number seq - 11
(arithmetic) - 13
psi - 88
coding -7
symbol search - 9
(cancellation) -8
He noted that ds sometimes missed easier items but got harder ones, I was also wondering how to interpret that...?
Also, he took this NNAT- Individual test, just for good measure posting it here, too.
Scaled - 123
Percentile - 94
We are still waiting on WJ achievement testing results and a final write up from the doctor.
Thanks for any info on this one~
