I keep seeing these algebra tiles mentioned....something else to add to my list to learn about lol.

My daughter (and I) loved (and still love) codes and sequences or patterns. This is an important part of math today. I just helped a tenth grade figure out a fun square root problem this way so this goes on and on. I always found that the brighter students enjoyed this more; the others just wanted the answers.

Just wanted to recommend a book I borrowed from the library, It was called "Games for Math" by Peggy Kaye. It had some great and fun ways to do math...without having to use boring ditto sheets.

My nephew is a math whiz too and he did have a problem. His school tried to make him relearn their way and for a while his math abilities slipped.Finally, they realized and seperated him out. If their is a Gifted teacher at his school I would send them an email. At our local elem. they were so excited to help my DD before school. But I was lucky because they people I talked to knew what her test numbers ment. They may be able to recommend the next step.
