I received the SIG brochure in the mail last week and in it was a flyer for Renzulli Learning. If anyone has some experience using it I'd love to hear about it. It is pretty pricey - $129 with the SIG discount. If it is worth the money I'd love to know.
    Thanks,
    moni

Cruse the website and look for a 'contact us' number - it used to be that if you called it, you could get a free trial. I looked into it a few years ago, but at the time it wasn't useful for us, sort of a cute quiz plus a search engine. My DS was already ranging far and wide over the Internet and interested in everything - so it didn't look like a match for us.

But try and get a freebie, and report back, as I'm sure things have developed since then!

When you first sign up for Renzulli, your child will fill out a personality profile of their interests. Then the database will recommend various lessons and sites he/she may be interested in. For project based learning, students seem to enjoy the resources found by this site that may otherwise be missed by conventional search engines (IMO).

I haven't used the site extensively and wonder if the children can collaborate with one another.

I may be mistaken, however, the Univ. of N. Carolina has started a forum/blog type of site where audio/visual posts are able to discuss various topics. Can't remember the name of it at the moment :S
