Ah Block Design is first. The psych commented that DS missed easy ones but then perked up and got all the hardest ones correct. I wonder if it's b/c DS was nervous and then relaxed?

Thanks, Dottie. My son's scores were all over the map in terms of the order administered.

My son took a test, about a month ago, as a result of being in the Duke University TIP (talent identification program). He told me that he fell asleep while taking the test. I asked him why and he said, "It was soooo... boring." Needless to say, I have not yet seen the results but if he fell asleep, what am I to think?

Is anyone familiar with the Explore test? My son has reached the 99th percentiles in math, and creativity and in the lower 90th percentiles for English but in the low, low percentiles for other areas. I have thought of having him tested but I almost don't want to know his results because his actual performance is so variable. I am new here to this forum -- I just found it! I am hoping for a bit of advice. I believe the WISC only goes to around an IQ of 140-145 (3 standard deviations). Is this true? What is the WMI and PSI? What is the most qualified person to give these exams? A PhD psychologist or is a psychometrist well enough qualified?
