Oneisenough, this is from my own experince, my husband and I went over and over about if we should put my DD5 in K last year when she was 4 (we believe she is gifted and are now getting her tested). We knew she was ready but her birthday is in February so I would have had to push to get her in. We decided that she was going to be in school for a long time to come and I would only have one more year at home with her to do other things... (dance, ice skating, swimming and just spend time with her enjoying her) and not have to worry about school. She never attended any type of pre-school or daycare program. Two months into the school year and the school is talking about skipping her a grade. Still don't know if we are going to do that, but I think the point I'm trying to make is that the pre-school thing might be a little overrated. I think the best time is spent with Mom and Dad smile Just my opinion, good luck!
