Hi, fellow member of the dirty house club!

Also she mentioned more then once that she has gifted children. She didn't choose to put them ahead, although they could have.

I AM concerned about this statement. If your DS is as interpersonally intuitive as my DD, he could absolutely be picking up her negative attitude.

I'm confident her kids are MG, because if the were HG(+) I don't think she would have said that to you. Lots of parents of HG(+) kids keep their kids in their grade, but they KNOW what a challenge meeting educational needs are. I have a hard time thinking that such a person would throw such a loaded statement at you.

What's your relationship with the principal like?

ok.... not really good enough to talk to her about this

i can talk to the school pys. about it

DH had a completely different take on the whole meeting and said i am being negative, looking at this in a negative way. He said, well she better get used to him. He there. She has to deal with it.

She has said to me, a while ago, that her son who is in High school complains about being bored in his classes. She told him he just has to get through it.

If DH agrees, perhaps you two could talk to the school psych about it..........

on a positive note, DS7 is doing great on analogies.......... can do them realitively quickly and get most of them correct.

    Jen-

Just keep on smiling, and countering her faulty logic and assumptions with facts. Maybe she'll catch on, or at least be more careful about what she says.

Wonderful about the analogies - isn't it cool when they zoom ahead?

Sad that the teacher isn't 'an asset.'

Sorry about the Migranes - Perhaps a year or two of homeschooling would be a better fit?

As they get a little older, school seems to depend less on processing speed, more on thoughfulness and work ethic.
