My daughter is taking the AMC 10 2/7. I was trying to look up kids who did well from her school or neighboring schools in the past. Is it me or is that site difficult to use?

The highest score I see on the AMC10 from Illinois.. was a 126 from a student at Iscience and arts academy in grade 8.
Is your dd still in Jr High or high school? These top scorers are all grade 7 and 8.

She's a Freshman and was handed a sheet a paper about in class. I'm not sure how many from the school/district take it. We never heard of it before since the junior high didn't have it. I found a kid she knew got a 94 on the AMC 12 as a sophomore. The test seemed strange since many kids by sophomore year have calculus and not even the AMC 12 had calculus. Although I looked at some of the questions and it seemed difficult at least to me.

I think you were looking at the achievement roll which shows 8th grade and below with scores 90 and above. Try looking at distinguished honor roll for top 1% or honor roll for top 2.5% which would be the AIME qualifiers...Also, note there are two AMC 10s given each year so you might want to look at both.

I wished they had it set up by state it would easier to follow. Thanks tor the advice at looking at both but I thought the first date was in our area so I was looking mostly at that. They did say to notify the math teacher if you couldn't make it so another kid could take it.

Would you believe we still don't have the AMC8 results?

To what results are you referring? Results were announced in my daughter's middle school the day before Christmas break, and the statistics were up on the site noted about 7 posts up the same day.

The statistics only list kids in the honor and high honor rolls, I believe the top 2.5 percent of test takers (at least for the AMC 10 and 12). So the majority of test takers can't find their results that way. Also, in our experience, schools vary tremendously in how (and when, or even if) they share the info with kids/parents.
