Another update:

DD chose to start 6th grade with in-class accelerated geometry, with the option of switching to online "regular" geometry. She wanted to at least find out whether the classroom interaction is interesting. My concern is that she will find the pace very slow AND she has to do math homework after school. With online option this year, she hardly needed doing math at home, almost everything was done at school during the online math hour.

We signed her up for AoPS Introduction to Geometry. I think this will cover much more than our district's advanced geometry, so we won't worry that she won't learn enough. Our district does not allow AoPS to count as credit at least for middle schoolers. But so be it.
