I would agree with the CAPD eval suggested by your examiner. Otherwise, I think you have a good base of data. As I mentioned previously, I do wish all of the fluency tests had been done, though, as my instinct is that her reading and math would not look quite as good if they had.

In any case, you have the diagnosis of dysgraphia and dyscalculia, so you should be good for the IEP.

To answer your question about gifted classes. We tried this with DD in fourth grade. Her GAI and FSIQ were both about 15-20 points higher. She struggled there, because she did not get appropriate modifications/accommodations. The teachers expected the students to do things like take notes on lectures. It didn't matter how much info I "tried" to provide, they just didn't get it. DD became stressed out and anxious. I wouldn't rule it out, but you need to make sure that the teachers have full understanding of what is going on, a willingness to cooperate and accept a student that doesn't fit into the mold, and a well written IEP that they will follow. We took DD out and put her back into a normal school. She is still grade accelerated and has a subject acceleration for math (with accommodations like reduced work). As soon as I notice a "violation" I email the case manager and she deals with it. But a full gifted program with kids who were "all" gifted was too much for DD.
