    I worry about this a lot, because my DD11 (who is a DYS) was selected for the district gifted program, and DS7 has not been. They both have autism, but DS is significantly more affected. My husband and I have a hard time answering him when he asks whether he is gifted.

    I know that siblings are frequently within 10 points of each other, but it isn't always true.

    It is the only reason i am glad DYS isn't in NZ. Ds8 would romp in especially with the new rules but Ds6 would miss by 2 points.

    Update: so older ds scored 15 points lower than his brother, but the assessment team recognized his strengths (exceptional verbal scores among them), and is in the program as well. Thanks to everyone for the support along the way.
