    JB,

When I first started down the road of advocation I felt it was good to know who was who and what was up. I don't "do" politics either, but I sure as heck like to know what politics are being "done" around me!

It takes a while to get a good feel of all of that especially within the district and the schools. I have never aligned myself with any one or any group. I'm a free agent! My job is to help my kids be successful in the school environment. period. I think that has served me well.
I get a little concerned when I see parents with good intentions being "managed" in a way to promote any particular ideology of any group or individual. AKA an agenda.
For about a year I kept my eyes and ears open and only said what was necessary at the time.
It's just now that I am becoming more assertive and active to try and structure what I think the girls really need.

I've met a lot of awesome people along the way(and have learned to avoid certain personalities as well).

    enjoy the journey!

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

As a follow up, what I did find out is that they will use our report and not require DS to be retested for IQ. But because there are other items that the collect as part of the request to evaluate, we won't necessarily speed up the process.

So a little bit of good news and a little bit of bad news.
