    go with it. but if in a couple of months he wants to leave it and do something else then go with that too.

    My DD4 announced right around her 4th birthday that she was happy with her reading skills and since then, her interest in fiction has seriously waned. So in our case, it wasn't exactly a sign of lifelong passion for literature.
