I'm not sure if there is a list already out there (besides books). If so let me know. I thought that we could have a thread listing our kids "fascinations" in terms of resources. I know they may be odd, but if one gifted kid likes something chances are another will as well. I know there are already threads on books, so maybe this could be "other".
Please list your child's age and where specifically you can "find" the interest.
DS7 loves the series "Treasure Quest" on Netflix and he's on his second round of watching through it. It is about finding sunken ships and the treasure that is on the bottom of the ocean. Plus general archaeology I guess. DD(8) is now watching it as well.
Both kids (7 and 8) like the history section of Khan Academy, in particular the "Crash Course: World History". It seems a bit advanced for them so I'm not really sure why it's so fascinating or how much of it they really understand. But they have both watched most of it.
Dragonbox app for the tablet (both Algebra and Elements)--both kids
DS7 has been reading any book he can find on the Hindenburg disaster. I need to check if there are any documentaries on this.
