DS14 will enter high school in the fall, and we were just notified that he will start with college math at the new school. Don't know the details, but this is such welcoming news after years of rummaging resources on our own and fighting so hard to let the school even acknowledge that DS was not challenged. We chose an alternative high school (small, public, very academically focused, with the drawback of not having strong sports and music programs).

Our feeling has always been that there will be more options as the kids get older. So far this seems to be true. Hope this is encouraging to the parents of the young kids out there.
