Hello All, I am writing on here today because I need some help. I am a senior at the University of Southern Maine and I have an assignment for a class that includes interviews with parents who have children that are gifted and talented and/or have a disability. I hope that I will hear back because I really am interested in this topic. The interview can be done via email where I send you the questions and you respond with your answers. Thank you so much!

Can you describe a bit better what it is that your project entails?

I guess I'd also want to know for sure somehow that you really are a student at your university and that this is a legitimate assignment - not sure how to do that online, but it would be helpful.

Yes, definitely. My class is ADS 300: Ethics and Youth with Exceptionalities. We have been learning about different ethical issues when it comes to children who are gifted and talented. An example of this would be should they be in the same classroom as average students or would it be better for them to be in separate classrooms. For our assignment we were told to either interview parents or educators that are part of these childrens' lives. I am interested in the everyday activities, if there are any dilemmas similar to what I mentioned above that you have encountered, and how the children are able to get through these situations. Let me know if you need anymore information. I am glad to share as much as I can!

If s/he could post a link to her class website or offer to send a letter with her prof in copy, that would certainly be helpful.

Intrigued by this excerpt from the course description: "...why and how these youth are marginalized and how the marginalization of them is continued in mainstream society and by others, many times unconsciously... "

Are you able to conduct your interviews via PM? Are participants able to see the questions and determine whether they are interested in and comfortable with addressing the specific questions you are asking?

Interviews can definitely be done through PM (easier that way) and I can send you a list of my questions once I am finished. I do not need to know any personal information. I will need to know age/grade in school (so that I can report that in my paper to my professor).
