Anyone know anything about extended norms
There is a lot of information on the forum if you do a search of the archives. There is a lot of information easily found by web searches as well.

My DD had 2 18's and a 19 and the psych who assessed her said her GAI was already so high it would be pointless to get her score higher by calculating extended norms. I didn't know if the school district would get hung up on the FSIQ though(they have rigid cut-offs for gifted programming) so I calculated them and her GAI went up from 150 to 155 and FSIQ went up maybe 2-3 points from 135 to around 138, I think. Don't remember for sure. If a kid has a 19 or two 18's I think extended norms can be calculated, but it doesn't always bring the score up much.
