I might go ahead and let them do the ITBS. DD just had to do it for her program and I got the sense it might be a pretty easy test.
I DO sympathize about wanting to avoid additional testing - I felt the same when when DD completed her testing for G&T. Our schools are also doing a sickening amount of testing - and there seems no end in sight. The children complete one standardized test, only to come home with an announcement the following week that they are getting ready for: another standardized test.
