I found extended norm tables online and I think her GAI should be 155 and full scale 138. The psych copied the Record Form form and gave it to me so I have raw scores.
The district wants a CogAT of 139. Does anyone know if a CogAT of 139 would be the same percentile as a WISC IV of 139? If not and a CogAT of 139 is actually the same or lower than a WISC of 138, I can say that she is above the percentile that they are looking for on the CogAT.
It seems ridiculous that I may even have to argue about the GAI or whether her scores are high enough when it is 155 and well above the 99.9th percentile but that is what I'm anticipating. Of course, all of this assumes that they even accept the WISC scores.

In this matrix, CogAT score of 139 is 99 percentile. Her WISC IV 151 is >99.9 percentile should qualify. That score should qualify in all public gifted schools for that matter. But some gifted teachers are not well versed in tests other than what they provide.

Ok, thanks. It looks like the CogAT has to be 140 to be above the 99th percentile (if that table is correct). Even if they just looked at DD's FSIQ at 138 (if extended norms are used), that is above the 99th percentile. I think it's 99.4 percentile. I wish I could find actual CogAT tables with percentiles but I can't.

Our district has no g/t coordinator anymore so I don't even know how I am going to apply or who to even discuss any of this with! So ridiculous!

edited to add, I think that the WISC has a 15 standard deviation spread and the CogAT has a 16 standard deviation spread, so it is harder to get a 139 on the WISC than the CogAT (just in case anyone was wondering! smile )
DD should therefore be able to qualify if they are strict about wanting that 139 number in terms of a percentile on an alternate test and won't look at the GAI, only FSIQ.
