We went back to school today and WOW what a great day. smile DD went to her first day of 1st grade and had a fabulous time. I talked to the teacher in the afternoon to see how things went and she said it was the best. DD jumped right in and participated in class. She also had no problems keeping up with the class while they finished stuff from before Christmas.
Her teacher was so excited to see that she didn't have any problems with anything. (Other than finding her page in a book.) She said she knew it was the right move for DD, but didn't think the first day would be quite so great for her.
It was such a relief for us all. Now, we can hopefully have a happy kid again who wants to go to school and learn things.
She even did her homework tonight with very little complaint and with no problems what so ever! Here's to a Happy 2014.
