    At 4 you can use the WPPSI (most often used over there) or the WJ111 cognitive.

    @CrazyMom2013: Our son is in preschool now and the public school here do not offer gifted programs till 3rd grade unfortunately. It is good to know that these scores might vary when they are a little older .

    @MDmom: The testing center near our house suggested WPSI for under 6

    Is it necessary to expose the Child to some sort of practice questions for these tests so that they are familiar with directions etc..?

    I didn't - it would have seemed like cheating. Besides I didn't know what they would ask or how. The most important thing is to find an assessor who knows gifted and can form a good relationship with your child.
