Have any of your dc done this? If your dc is a DYS, does he or she still have to apply for the one-week summer camp, Summer Stars? I couldn't find any information about the application requirements for it...so perhaps there aren't any other than DYS requirements?

We have our eyes on this camp for next summer.

Kadmom, I believe Summer Stars is open to DYS 'ers only and acceptance is by lottery. I think I remember hearing something about that happening in September.

A lottery? Oh dear. Well I guess there's a chance...but I'd better hold off on booking the flights.

My daughter did Summer STARS this year. The lottery happens in November, with results announced in December. She absolutely loved it, and is already begging to go back next year. It happens the week before the Summit.

Thanks, ElizabethN. I wonder what the chances are. Next year would be ds11's last chance for the Summer STARS.

I don't know, but I think the chances are not bad. It is definitely a fun camp.
