My child has been doing out of level testing for school in consideration of a grade skip. I was informed of Math and Language Arts testing for 2/3 grades. Yesterday he reported having a pencil paper test where he was asked to determine which child drew a picture and tell why. He said it was too much writing (he's K) and the teacher had to help write down his answers. That sounds very different than what he had been doing in testing. Could this be part of the CogAt?? They use it to test in to Gifted at 3rd grade.
