    My 7 yr old switched to a new school this year where they have French once/wk instead of Spanish (like she has in K & 1). The teacher recommended that we listen to French kids songs and play games in French, and read kids books in French. I bought eeboo's French Bingo, some Dr Seuss & Eric Carle books in French, and Rock & Learn French, all from amazon.com. The teacher said if we keep it fun, and not like school, she would pick it up faster.....

    Try listening to French language news on the radio. I recommend Radio Canada because most of the broadcasters have clean, pure accents and enunciation.
