Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been on. Anyway, we are finally scheduling testing for dd who will be 6 by the time we test and hopeful that we can do DYS and get some help. I just got of the phone with Dr. Tandra Tyler-Wood at UNT that some of yall had recommended. We talked for close to 20 minutes and she thinks DD would be a good candidate. I really liked her, and dh really likes the price. We will be traveling to that area for a month in the spring to visit my mom so we are scheduling it for then.

Anyone use this tester and have any thoughts? She was very familiar with DYS and thought it could really help DD and our situation.

Oh she will be doing both the WISC IV and achievement testing.

We used her and liked her. She built an instant rapport with my son and was very patient with him, giving him walk-around breaks and letting him decide when he was ready to break for lunch, etc. She is very knowledgeable, will write you a detailed report and is happy to answer questions. She does the testing and reporting herself. She's very experienced and has no hidden agenda as she gets paid whether she is testing or doing her regular job. She only charges for the cost of the test materials.

Most of all, she seems to **enjoy** working with gifted kids and thoroughly gets them. I think you'll be happy with her.

Thank's petunia. She seemed really nice on the phone and said DD sounded like she would be a lot of fun to test. I am glad to hear good experiences.
